Many professionals and shooting enthusiasts prefer the old-school flavor of traditional-style AR rifles. The Blackheart International team, however, believes that conventional styling doesn’t have to come at the cost of reduced performance standards. That’s why the BHI-15 (A) stands tall in the traditional AR category.
The BHI-15 (A) delivers the “retro” look and feel of traditional ARs by adding a standard six-position stock, A2 pistol grip, detachable carry handle with adjustable rear peep, front sight assembly and standard-style hand guard. The difference, of course, between this rifle and its competitors is the same attention to high-quality, precision-machined components and assembly procedures as seen in the BHI-15 (S) and BHI-15 SPR tactical rifles. Core to the BHI-15 (A) is a BHI-15 aluminum lower receiver, aluminum MIL-SPEC A3 flat top upper receiver, and chrome-lined 16-inch barrel. Other features include an A2 flash hider, MIL-SPEC trigger group and Wolff Springs for maximum reliability.

I won one of these rifles at the 82nd Airborne Division Convention in 2010, Charleston, WV. This is a fine rifle. I've taken many, many wild hogs with this 5.56.
I was excited about winning this rifle, for I fired one in Vietnam while serving as an 11 jungle in the 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division.
