The Tactical HF antenna system is designed for use over the frequency range 2-30MHz for reception and transmission of powers up to 400W (PEP) and rapid deployment in the field. It is designed for use with two masts to raise the folded dipole, which incorporates a balun transformer and load assembly, 7-9 meters above the ground level.

Any of the following range of antenna support masts can be used to deploy the antenna:

The light weight aluminum push up telescopic mast types 714, 715, 716, 798 or their pneumatic equivalents 476, 477, 478, 479. The light weight composite push up telescopic mast style TR72/9.5-1.7 can also be used.

If there are no masts available, then temporary supports such as trees may be used.
Two people can install the antenna in less than 15 minutes.
