UNGUIDED HUNTING IN NORTH-CENTRAL WEST VIRGINIA

Welcome to WV Unguided Hunting, a corporate-owned-and-operated hunting preserve offering the best in whitetail hunting. Our hunting preserve is located on 600 beautiful acres of meadows and mixed forest in the Tygart Valley region of West Virginia. We are pleased to offer an affordable option for the budget-minded sportsman. Unguided hunts will take place on various parcels of land within our 600-acre boundary. Some stands allow for 500-yard shots for experienced shooters, as well as groups of up to six for family fun in one of our two-story stands.
We offer unguided hunts with your choice of weapons: rifle, shotgun, handgun, bow or muzzleloader. We can take up to 6-12 hunters at a time. We also offer handicapped-accessible shooting houses. We do have lodging available at our lodging facility for our unguided hunters, and the cost is included in the price of the hunt. Located eight miles from our hunting preserve, the facility will comfortably sleep up to 24 hunters. Room sizes vary from two to six bunks, and the lodge is fully furnished, with a full kitchen with barbeque, gym, TV rooms and washers and dryers.
This is a Do-It-Yourself hunting opportunity. With the proper tags, you may also harvest up to two bucks and four does. Each doe harvested equals one (1) entry into our drawing for a FREE 2010 HUNT! Hunters will be required to report all deer harvested so that accurate records can be kept.
Unguided hunts include the following:
1. We provide maps of the property to which you are assigned.
2. We will show you around and make suggestions as to how to hunt the property.
3. We are available to talk with you or answer questions if needed.
4. We supply our own stands on a first scheduled-first served basis
5. We will assist with deer tracking and retrieving.
6. Butchering assistance and cold room storage are available.
7. Lodging is included for each paying hunter; however, you will need to make arrangements for transportation and meals.
This arrangement is an outstanding opportunity for the budget-minded sportsman to hunt whitetails! Unguided hunters will be expected to arrive at our warehouse location (RR 3 Box 115, Philippi, WV 26416) the day before their hunt.

RATES
Buck & Doe Hunts (Price is per day of hunting)
Buck, Doe or a Combination Hunt (when season allows it) – $500 per day, per hunter; lodging is included, plus sales tax
WV Youth Deer hunt – $400 per day, per hunter, plus sales tax
Come to Barbour County, WV, and experience the ultimate in hunting West Virginia whitetail deer and turkey at our hunting preserve. We are a fair-chase type hunt situated on 600 acres of beautiful meadows and hardwood forest. Harvest whitetail deer, both buck and doe, with rifle, shotgun, handgun, bow or muzzleloader, within the appropriate seasons and license combinations. Great for youngsters’ first hunts!
Reservation and Payment
Please book as early as possible to better your chances for securing your requested dates and locations. Phone reservations will be held for seven days awaiting deposit. A 50% deposit is required on each scheduled hunt. Personal checks are accepted for deposits only. Final payment must be in the form of cash, credit card, certified check or a cashier's check.

Cancellations: No Show/Credit.
In the event of a cancellation, thirty (30) days’ written notice prior to the scheduled hunt date is required to receive a fifty percent refund of your deposit. Or, you may reschedule to a later date, with no forfeiture.

Licenses: West Virginia hunting licenses required. All out-of-state hunter license fees cost $113.00.
Length of hunt: Up to the individual hunter and availability of dates
Weapons: You can hunt with rifle, shotgun, handgun, muzzleloader or bow. Bring your favorite weapon, or we can supply firearms if needed.
Meals: Meals are available locally at restaurants of your choice or you can cook at the facility.
Travel: The hunting preserve is conveniently located near Philippi, WV. Airport pickup at Clarksburg, WV, can be arranged.
Meat processing: Our facility has walk-in coolers and freezers with venison processing available for a $65 fee that includes packaging and wrapping of deboned venison.
